Welcome mod fans and readers to another new IDF:FFI update,
At the beginning of this update we want to announce that one of our most important members, SPYKER, was drafted into the army earlier this month. We wish him luck, a steady hand and a good eye when shooting.
Back to the Battlefield stuff, we got another render for you.
THe FN MAG is a general purpose machine gun which was first introduced in the late 50’s, and is still in use in many of its variants as a hand held machine gun, a coaxial machine gun and mounted on many vehicles.

But we got more!
In the last update you have seen the AK-47 and AKMS renders, now we show you some ingames.

Last but not least we show you another toy for the egyptians. It’s the T55 tank, which was developed from the US-Intervention team and improved by SPYKER.

Thats it for today, stay tuned for our next update,
Have a great week.

After 0.21 many questions where coming up how we will continue the kit system in upcoming releases. There is one clear answer for the MG-Class: The MG4 does in fact appear in OPK.
As the lighter one of the two MGs it will be part of the basic equipment in OPK. It will be a valuable support weapon with very unique qualities for the KFOR troops. The heavier MG3 makes its appearance in the upgrade class.
In OPK we will have two versions available, which will contain the Reflex Sight. Which will be the standard sight on the MG. The upgraded version of the MG will have a zoom scope which will replace the reflex sight.
As Nightmare did with all the other weapons he will adjust the MG4 to BF2 ratios.
But now some pictures for you:

Starforce and Nightmare are working franticly working to put the weapons in game. A special thanks goes out to Zefan from Battlefield: Korea who made the wonderful texture.
For the mappers among you we have some OPK-light map samples ready to download.
Click to download OPK Lightmapssamples
With this we say goodbye and are looking forward to see you on the OPK-Gameservers.

It is with great pleasure that the Battlegroup-Frontlines team can confirm that we are releasing this week, and announce that the release will take place at 2000GMT (H-Hour) on Friday. At that time the various hosting and mirror sites will open up links for you to download the full install of BGF V1.0. In advance of that, by Thursday we will make available a server build so that server admins can get their servers up and running in time for the release.
We have also prepared a passwort-protected BitTorrent source so that you can get the release through peer-to-peer FROM NOW ON. We will release the BitTorrent password on our site at H-Hour. You will only need to unpack it then and install the mod to quickly join the server.
The link for the client-file is:
We are pleased to say we have had many contacts from server owners who wish to run BGF on its release. Where the server owners also give us the IP, name and location of the server we will use this information to compile a list of servers which will be running on release and the details will be included in the release news.

The Panzers are rolling - and they`ll be here soon!

Welcome mod fans and readers,
sadly it took us over 3 months to publish a new update, but we have not been resting. We are proud to announce that our arsenal of weapons is almost complete! Many new and miscellaneous tools of destruction will stand to your disposal. In this update we show you the K98 for the IDF soldiers and the AK47, AKMS and RPD for the Egyptians.
The K98 is a well known weapon from many World War II games, an icon of the WW2 German army and also used by the IDF until the early 70s. We have two versions, one without and one with a scope on it.

An absolutely standard in today’s computer games is definitely the Avtomat Kalashnikova Model 47, better known as the AK-47. a weapon that became and Icon in the 20th century. We will have two versions of the AK: The regular one and the AKMS, with a folding stock.

The last render for today is the RPD. It was the standard squad automatic weapon of the soviet army during the 1950s and 60s years. As nearly every other soviet made weapon it was widely
exported and used in many conflicts around the world.

And as a kind of special gift, we present you the Interview with Vestalis made on the GamesConvention 07. At least the video is in German, but we managed to create some subtitles in English. We just cant get the subtitles into the movie itself, so you will have to load the video (.divx) with an extra subtitles file (.srt). We recommend the VLC Media Player
for watching the video!
Visit our site for watching / downloading the interview!
That’s it for today, we want to thank Chillix from Fallen Times modification for taking some time off and helping us skinning these beauties.
Stay tuned for our next update.
Have a great week.
