BSS - Battleship Update 10-02-07

Its been a while since the last update from us, but I’ve never really been keen on providing updates unless I had something important to say, today I do. In exactly 3 weeks from now I leave for Basic Training for the Air Force, my goal was to have our next release out before then, because if it wasn’t then I wasn’t going to be able to work on it for at least 4 months. That would put our mod on a hiatus until I get back, since I’m the only active modder on the team right now(Besides Sauerkraut, but he only works on models).

Unfortunately, it looks like I wont be able to meet those requirements as work has proved to be too much for me to handle alone. I will continue working for as long as I can, and if(and this is a very big “if”) I can pull together a somewhat reasonable build in the next few weeks, and have at least a few people test it then maybe, just maybe I’ll be able to release something.

My planned changelog was to be this(Green being stuff already finished, Blue being stuff that I’m currently working on, and Red stuff that I haven’t even started)-

My biggest issue are the playermodels, I can cut out the gamemodes, and new menu’s for the release, but the one thing I wanted for this release were new playermodels. So that right there is the determining factor about whether or not there will be a release this year. If I can come across some new ones, then who knows….

BSS - USI Update 10-01-07

Hello all, this weeks news update brings much to all who have waited so long. After all our hard work on 86 USI internal builds, we have finally entered into Release Content status. As always at this point we will be organizing another Fragfest event for news site admins from all over to join the devs and testers for some fun. Why do we do this? Think of it as a closed beta test, that and each news site will be able to give out their own reviews. Release is only weeks away!


Now for an update on our last map to get a makeover, Umm Qasr Docks. Work has been tough for this one but we know it’ll be some fun. The main plat area was expanded for some more form when onshore. Here are a few screenies.

#24 OPK 0.2 CLIENT-Release: Fasten your seatbelt!

After a long period of time we can proudly announce the second release of “Operation Peacekeeper” this year. OPK 0.2 is ready to play.

The new version is wholeheartedly an aeronautical update. But we havenĀ“t forgot the infantrymen or tankdrivers…

1.The OPK-equipment:

Maps: 16
Airplanes: 4
Helicopter: 3(4)
Landvehicles: 12
Handweapons & Tools: 42
Stationary Weapons: 2

We added a great number of small and large statics, some of them are destroybale now.

And sure, a battlefield needs vehicles, Tornado IDS and J22 ORAO with their original armament are avaible now. If you ever dreamed of carpet bombing, you can do it NOW. The next addition is the veteran of the helicopters, the UH1D “Huey”. The KFOR Spec OP gets a new toy, the G36c. The sniper get a P12 USP tactical.

2. OPK Monistari Zogosije:

Many new maps have been announced in the last weeks and months. 3 are missing, one is delayed and the last one is included today: Monistari Zogosije.
An awesome piece of architecture, made by Meister Z. Enterable buildings which must be defended by the serbian forces with dark dangerous sewers and destroyable doors.

 






The KFOR mission, supported by the new “UH-ID Huey” is to conquer the monastery.

3.RELEASE 0.2

IMPORTANT: PLEASE DELETE THE OLD “OPK” FOLDER! (battelfield2/mods/). The installer will create a new folder named “OPK2″.

Sadly, we already found a bug in the installer. Please change the “Run at” entry in the start-menu-shortcut from “\Battlefield2\Mods\OPK\Settings” to “\Battlefield2″. We are sorry for this mistake.
